Types of Resources: Basic B-M-D can be found in the usual places: Free: FS and P-P-V: Ancestry I normally do not mess with those as most researchers are familiar with how to find them. What I try to do instead is find resources that are not easily located, thus, the items you will find on these Web Pages might be new to you and of some value. Because this site is specific to Jefferson City and environs, the 'Search Criteria' used was also specific. Books I was able to find a couple of books that contain data on Early Cemeteries and Obituaries. Obits and Cems really fall under the 'Vital Catagory', but this is a special site in that it does not include all of Cole County. Genealogy Trails has some Obits NEW - Obits from NewsBank - See the Vitals Page There is an LDS Film that has a lot of good information about old Cemeteries. The Index is here. The Book can be downloaded from the FS Catalog. Use the Film # to access the Book. There are two books in the FS Catalog that have Obits from Cole County as well as a few others: Jefferson City, Post Tribune: 1965 & 1966 Book 2 & Book 4 [Indexes] Download the books from the FS Catalog There are two Books which have Cole County Marriages Listed. 1821-1951: Elizabeth Prather The 2nd one is 50mb, and can be found in the FS Catalog [Guy & Ruth Sone] Finally, FS has Obits from other States and Counties: Here is a list from multiple Databases.
